  • Florida’s Department of Education has introduced new rules for school chaplains, sparking discussions with PBA School of Ministry Dean Jonathan Grenz and Dr. Ryan Gladwin about the importance of proper training and understanding youth development in this new public school context. Dr. Gladwin works to teach and prepare those interested in becoming chaplains at the university as the Associate Professor of Theology and Ministry and Director of Community Transformation & Chaplaincy.
  • Our very own Dr. Elizabeth Stice, associate professor of history and fellow for faculty communication and development, shared her travel abroad experience at Palm Beach Atlantic University with Inside Higher Ed. In the opinion piece, Dr. Stice writes about her transformative experience traveling to Greece and Turkey with a group of students over the summer.
  • Dr. Stice also wrote an essay about a participation streak in an Honors class this past spring semester. They had an unprecedented run of 100 percent participation all semester. The essay was published in the Front Porch Republic. Read the essay here.
  • PBA’s chapter of the American Marketing Association (AMA) celebrated incredible achievements at the 2024 AMA International Collegiate Conference held in New Orleans, LA. The chapter, led by faculty advisor Dr. Emily Webster, Assistant Professor of Marketing, showcased its talent and dedication, earning a place among the nation’s top marketing programs.   • Dr. Gregory Rummo was featured on USA Today on his opinion piece, “Incoming college STEM freshmen, take note: You need to take your classes seriously.” In his article, he offers 10 suggestions to help college freshmen survive their first year as a science major.
