Palm Beach Atlantic University’s Science Institute is for students entering 6th through 12th grade. In the Science Institute, students will explore the multifaceted world of survival and will understand how to utilize their knowledge of science to help solve problems. Experiments will use skills in biology, chemistry, earth science and physics.
There are two specific age groups:
Group 1: 6th – 8th graders
Group 2: 9th – 12th graders
The camp includes:
Counselors on hand for activities outside the lab
Daily laboratory experiments led by PBA faculty twice a day
Laboratory experiments led by college professors (physics, chemistry, biology, marine biology, nursing, pharmacy)
Lunch in cafeteria (included)
Cost: $300/student
Time: Camp will run Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Daily Schedule:
8:30-9:00 a.m. – Check-in
9:00-9:00 a.m. – Lecture led by PBA faculty
10:00-12:00 p.m. – Session 1 – Lab
12:00 – 12:50 p.m. – Lunch
1:00 – 3:00 p.m. – Sessions 2- Lab experiment
3:00 – 3:30: Wrap up and dismissal
