Palm Beach Atlantic has named author, historian and speaker Dr. Stephen Mansfield as senior fellow in public leadership in the Catherine T. MacArthur School.
In the new, part-time position, Mansfield will serve as a consultant and expert on public leadership. He will mentor the University’s faculty in biblically-based leadership and lead seminars for staff and other key stakeholders. Additionally, he will provide expert consulting on PBA’s relationship to culture, society and government. Mansfield also will elevate PBA’s brand awareness through relational and educational opportunities in the field of public leadership.
“All my life, I’ve longed to be part of a Christian university poised for dramatic impact and at just the time I could best serve,” Mansfield said. “Now is the time, and Palm Beach Atlantic University is that school. It is a privilege to be aboard.”
Mansfield earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in history/education from Oral Roberts University, his Master of Arts degree in history/public policy from Abilene Christian University and his Doctor of Philosophy degree in history/literature from Whitefield Theological Seminary.

Mansfield is a New York Times best-selling author and popular speaker who leads a speaker training firm based in Washington, D.C. He first rose to global attention with his groundbreaking book The Faith of George W. Bush, an international bestseller that Time magazine credited with helping to shape the 2004 U.S. presidential election.
Mansfield’s The Faith of Barack Obama was another international bestseller. He has written celebrated biographies of Booker T. Washington, George Whitefield, Winston Churchill, Pope Benedict XVI and Abraham Lincoln, among others. Publishers Weekly described his book Killing Jesus as “masterful.” As a result of his book Miracle of the Kurds, Mansfield has become a respected voice in support of the Kurds worldwide. Mansfield will remain active in publishing.
