About
For thousands of years, plant extracts and oils have had therapeutic value in treating various human illnesses. Dr. Chris Hickey, assistant professor of biology, has led studies on the modern application of the therapeutic value derived from oregano. His research has successfully demonstrated that two molecules within oregano decrease cell growth from two aggressive forms of cancer, skin cancer melanoma, and leukemia.
Alongside Palm Beach Atlantic University students, Hickey continues to research the therapeutic benefits of oregano for other forms of cancer treatments. Watch these video testimonies to see how the outcome of this research could impact the lives of people living with cancer. You can support ongoing research by giving to the Cancer Therapy Research Fund today!
