State Aid

The state of Florida offers many scholarship and grant opportunities for Florida residents attending college in their home state. Eligibility for Florida state aid requires a student (or the parent/guardian of a dependent student) to have established and maintained legal residence in Florida for at least 12 consecutive months prior to the start of the academic term.

State Aid Opportunities

The EASE Grant provides financial support to full-time undergraduate students attending a private, non-profit university in the state of Florida. Student must be Florida residents and maintain an eligible GPA.

$3,500 per year | Subject to change annually

The EASE Plus stipend provides additional support to students enrolled in upper-level courses in quality, high-demand programs listed below:

  • Agriculture/Veterinary Science
  • Allied Health
  • CyberSecurity
  • Digital Arts/Computer Graphics
  • Nursing
  • Teaching

Awarding Policy:

EASE Plus will be awarded to any undergraduate, upper-level student (60+ earned credit hours) taking upper-level courses who meets the following criteria:

  1. The student has met eligibility requirements and is receiving the Florida EASE Grant for the period of enrollment the EASE Plus is being considered.
  2. The student is enrolled in an approved high-demand program.
  3. The student is enrolled full-time.

Definitions:

Upper-level students:
Students who have earned 60+ credits toward their degree program at PBA.

Upper-level classes:
Classes at the 300-400 level in high-demand programs at PBA.

The Florida Bright Futures Academic Scholarship is awarded to full-time undergraduate students who meet the initial GPA, SAT/ACT, and community service eligibility requirements. Students must be Florida residents and apply before high school graduation.

$212 per credit hour | Renewable for up to 120 credit hours

The Florida Bright Futures Medallion Scholarship is awarded to full-time undergraduate students who meet the initial GPA, SAT/ACT, and community service eligibility requirements. Students must be Florida residents and apply before high school graduation.

$159 per credit hour | Renewable for up to 120 credit hours

The Florida Student Assistance Grant is awarded to full-time, degree-seeking, resident undergraduate students with substantial financial need.

FWEP is a need-based program providing eligible Florida college students work experiences to complement and reinforce their educational and career goals. Eligibility is based on submission of the FAFSA, evidence of financial need, and securing a job directly related to your major. Contact the Financial Aid Office for more information!
