Biography

Professor Henry Webb is the Assistant Dean of Palm Beach Atlantic University’s Marshall E.
Rinker School of Business, where he is also a Professor of Business and Legal Studies. He
earned a B.B.A. in Managerial Finance from the University of Mississippi, an M.B.A. from the
University of Georgia, and a J.D. from Lewis & Clark Law School.
Following law school, Professor Webb worked for approximately ten years with law firms in
Seattle and Atlanta, where he specialized in environmental, toxic tort, and construction
litigation. He also worked for one year as Assistant Regional Counsel with the United States
Environmental Protection Agency in Atlanta, where he was a federal enforcement attorney on
hazardous waste and Clean Water Act matters.
In 2007, Professor Webb moved to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, where he began teaching law
and business courses with RMIT University Vietnam. Professor Webb taught a number of
undergraduate and graduate courses, including commercial law, alternative dispute resolution,
and corporate governance and regulation. From 2009 to 2011, he was also the course leader
for all of RMIT University Vietnam’s law courses, and was responsible for managing those
courses across the university’s Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi campuses.
From 2011 to 2014, Professor Webb taught legal research and writing and oral advocacy
courses with the Qatar University College of Law in Doha, Qatar. Professor Webb was one of
the founding members of the Qatar University College of Law’s Legal Writing and Advocacy
Skills Programme (“LWASP”), which was the first English-language, common law legal research
and writing and advocacy skills program in the Middle East and North Africa region.
Immediately prior to joining Palm Beach Atlantic University in the fall of 2021, Professor Webb
was a tenured, full Professor of Business Law with the Indiana University of Pennsylvania
(“IUP”), near Pittsburgh. At IUP, Professor Webb was also the International Academic Advisor
for all business students participating in education abroad programs, and he was also the
executive coordinator for IUP’s Vietnam University Partners Program, which promoted
international study abroad and internship programs, faculty exchanges, and research
collaborations in Vietnam.
Professor Webb has taught as a visiting professor in Vietnam and Hungary, and during the Fall
2023 semester he taught at a law school in Bhutan on a Fulbright grant. He also leads annual
summer and winter study abroad and internship programs to different locations each year.
Professor Webb’s research typically focuses upon the intersection of law, technology, and the
environment.
