At PBA, when you combine work and worship you get one thing—Workship. Now into its fifth decade, Workship is a distinctive community service program that responds to human needs with Christ-like action in the community and the world. Palm Beach Atlantic students have served more than 4 million hours since the program began in 1968.

"My education here at Palm Beach Atlantic University really prepared me for running a nonprofit, because one of the very first things that I experienced walking on this campus was being able to experience Workship hours and going out into the community. I think personally for myself, I have this dream of being able to continue to share the story of where I've been throughout my journey in life and how I got to this place to hopefully encourage other people too."

"The Give Back Community's mission is to serve love and empower those in the community. But even more than that, what we're trying to do is create a platform where relationships are made. We want to not just serve those in need but also serve the volunteers that become part of it. When you come on a Friday night and you feed somebody, you start a relationship and you understand other people's hardships, you become more grateful for what you have."

"Just seeing the Lord's generational provision and his faithfulness to us when we are faithful to him was just a super powerful experience. Being able to go on this trip to Brazil really affirmed my calling to nursing and affirmed me in my calling to missions. I hope that I can pair those two together and use God's calling in my life in those areas to just propel me forward to do incredible things for Him."
