Graphic Arts Program Details

Develop robust skills in designing and generating digital imagery for use in advertisements, packaging, film and video, social media content, website design, and more. The graphic design major combines art fundamentals with a broad basis in digital design and elective opportunities in other forms of art, allowing you to sharpen your style and practice your distinct creative voice.

This 120-credit-hour program requires a minor or additional major, along with Faith, Roots, and Reason general education courses, core art and graphic arts classes, and at least four elective graphic arts courses.

Review all courses in the Bachelor’s in Graphic Arts/Graphic Design degree program.

Pair the graphic arts degree with a minor or additional major in order to graduate. Your secondary area of study complements and accents your graphic design skills, leading you to become a well-rounded creative and stronger candidate for a variety of professional roles.

Expand your worldview by studying history, the Bible, English composition, mathematics and sciences, social sciences, and global studies. Our general education program highlights your passions, helps you develop new interests, and deepens your convictions about Christ’s work in the world. Cultivate fundamental understandings of art and design, critical thinking related to art, digital graphics, and art history. Each of our arts degrees culminates in the Senior Art Show, where you’ll showcase your creative work before graduation.

Building on the foundation of core art courses, study website and publication design, typography, and the history of graphic design. Nourish your curiosity through elective courses in topics like drawing, painting, stained glass, digital photography, and more.

The Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Graphic Design, is a professional degree program, with the goal of post-graduation employment as its core guiding principle. Graphic Arts / Graphic Design, Minor

Student in non-art fields can complete 22 credit hours of foundational, studio, and elective courses to earn an undergraduate minor in graphic arts and graphic design.
