The FREE Downtown Trolley’s Green Line stops just to the north of campus and takes riders to businesses, dining, and the shopping district as well as the Tri-Rail and Amtrak station. The Yellow Line serves the downtown waterfront, Rosemary Square (formerly CityPlace) and the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts. The Blue Line operates during the winter months to the Palm Beach Outlets and Northwood Village shopping and dining. Download their app from your app store for more information.
Tri-Rail is the commuter rail line linking Miami, Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach. Tri-Rail makes 33 stops along its route and connects travelers to airports in Miami and Fort Lauderdale. Enjoy easy transfers to the Metrorail/Metromover and Tri-County bus service, onboard work tables, luggage racks and more. PBA students pay $50 for a monthly pass for unlimited rides. South Florida’s newest transportation option is the Brightline, a high speed rail system connecting Miami, Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach with plans to expand service northward in the future.
Palm Tran is Palm Beach County’s bus system that connects you all the way south to Boca Raton and north to Jupiter. Palm Tran’s app ‘MyStop Mobile’ gives you up-to-date bus information and has a built-in trip planner.
There are so many points of interest within easy walking distance of campus. Did you know that the following are all within 1.5 miles of campus: Publix, Worth Avenue, the beach, The Flagler Museum, the Norton Museum of Art, Kravis Center for the Performing Arts, West Palm Beach Green Market (held every Saturday October – April downtown), the Palm Beach County Convention Center, Diva Duck Amphibious Tours (departs from Rosemary Square), Palm Beach Dramaworks, The Harriet Himmel Theater and the Palm Beach Improv? Also, there are plentiful coffee shops, juice bars, restaurants and the Mandel Public Library.
There are plenty of bike racks in strategic locations across campus, just be sure to register your bike with Campus Safety and Security once you arrive to campus.
