Palm Beach Atlantic University (PBA) has long been recognized for its School of Nursing and Lloyd L. Gregory School of Pharmacy. A strong combination of effective curriculum, experienced professors, and passionate students work to create exceptional healthcare professionals who stand out from the rest.
Employers in healthcare have repeatedly shared that there is something different about PBA graduates.
As public health and quality of care become increasingly important, there is a need for compassionate leaders in the medical field. PBA empowers students through its innovative health sciences programs, state-of-the-art facilities, and commitment to ensuring tomorrow’s health care leaders are equipped with intelligence and integrity.
As part of the university’s commitment to strengthen PBA’s health sciences programs, in 2023, a new master’s in health science was launched for those looking to expand their career opportunities. Along with creating new programs, PBA is constantly enhancing and adapting current programs—like nursing and pharmacy—to ensure graduates from PBA are equipped to provide world-changing support to systems and spaces desperate for quality health care providers.
PBA is also responding to the community’s health care needs with the creation of a Physician Associate (PA) program which is expected to matriculate its first class in 2025.
Equipping Students for the Future
PBA’s God-Sized Dreams campaign will also responds to these growing needs with plans in the future to establish a new Health Sciences Complex—enabling PBA to better prepare students to serve a world in need. The planned facility will allow PBA to accommodate more students and enable them to learn using the most innovative equipment. The new facility will consist of two buildings. One will house a functioning community clinic. The other will house classrooms and laboratories.
Students in nursing, pharmacy, health science, and PA programs will pursue their professions in this shared space. This will facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration and promote a closer sense of community. Undergraduate science students will also utilize the facility. State-of-the-art laboratories with cutting-edge technology and instruments will prepare students for professional careers. Multi-purpose classrooms will allow for flexible instruction and accommodate various learning styles. The world needs health care leaders with intelligence, integrity, and Christ-like compassion. By empowering students with the best education, resources and technology, PBA is poised to shape the future of the medical field and build healthier communities—in Florida and beyond.
Phase one of the construction projects planned under the God-Sized Dreams campaign is already under way with the Marshall and Vera Lea Rinker Business Hall which is scheduled for completion in fall 2025. PBA believes in shaping the whole person—beyond the classroom. The University’s faith-rooted, hands-on liberal arts curriculum doesn’t just create scholars. It transforms them into service-minded leaders.
