WEST PALM BEACH, FL (April 11, 2024) Tanica de Agrela, a student at The Titus Center for Franchising at Palm Beach Atlantic University (PBA) in West Palm Beach, Florida, has been selected for the “mini-internship” offered by Titus Center Advisory Board member FranServe.
Tanica will work for several days this July with the FranServe team to facilitate, educate and engage guests, including brokers and franchisors, at the company’s 2024 Convention & Expo in Disney World.
“Tanica exemplifies the type of student we hope to recruit more of to our program,” said Dr. John P. Hayes, CFE, founding chair of Titus Center for Franchising. “With over 60 students currently pursuing our Concentration in Franchising, Tanica stood out with her work ethic and passion for learning everything she can about the franchise community.”
To be considered for this opportunity, a student must be enrolled in the Concentration in Franchising and have completed at least Principles of Franchising with a minimum of at least a 3.0 GPA. Students submit a brief essay making the case as to why they should be selected for this opportunity. Selection takes into consideration the student’s ability to work in teams and the student’s level of enthusiasm.
“I pursued a Concentration in Franchising because of my interest with business models and their scalability, as well as the potential for long-term success within the franchise industry,” said de Agrela. “From my internship with FranServe, I hope to gain knowledge in all aspects of franchising. Working alongside professionals from the field throughout the convention will improve my understanding of franchise consulting and expand my network, which will provide a solid foundation for my upcoming career goals.”
