Dr. Eric Mason, founder and pastor of Epiphany Church in Philadelphia, will challenge students to grow in their relationship with God and others during Christival next week.
Harborside Music, a team comprised of many PBA graduates including Ethan Parker ’13, will lead times of worship through music. Worship services are 7 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday and 11 a.m. Wednesday and Thursday in the DeSantis Family Chapel, 300 Okeechobee Blvd.
Christival is a tradition of praise, worship and learning that began in the 1980s, making it the longest-standing conference at PBA. Its purpose is to better align the PBA community with God and His design, and the vision is to bring people closer to Jesus, regardless of where they are in their relationship with God.
Mason is the author of several books including “Woke Church: An Urgent Call for Christians in America to Confront Racism and Injustice,” “Unleashed: Being Conformed to the Image of Christ,” and “Manhood Restored: How the Gospel Makes Men Whole.” He helps coach and train families to plant churches locally, nationally and internationally. He is also the founder and president of Thriving, an urban resource organization committed to developing leaders for ministry in the urban context.
He is the recipient of multiple earned degrees, including a bachelor’s in psychology from Bowie State University, a master’s in theology from Dallas Theological Seminary and a doctorate from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary.
Mason and his wife, Yvette, have four children.
