Alessia Passerini receives a franchising scholarship 2023

Titus Center for Franchising Scholarships will be awarded on November 20, 2024 during the center’s Fall Advisory Board meeting. Students may apply for multiple scholarships, but cannot win more than one in an academic year. Qualification requirements differ from one scholarship to another, and the value of each scholarship may vary. Application deadline is September 25, 2024. Titus Center administration and the sponsor/s of each scholarship are responsible for selecting the students who receive the awards. Awardees are expected to attend the scholarship ceremony to accept their awards in person. Awardees are encouraged to invite family and friends to the ceremony.

Scholarship Opportunities

Recipients Must:

  • Be full-time students at Palm Beach Atlantic University in good standing.
  • Officially have selected to pursue the Concentration in Franchising (if an undergraduate). To declare the Concentration, a student can request the appropriate form from an academic advisor, or Titus Center, or the Rinker School of Business Dean’s Office.
  • Earn a minimum 3.0 G.P.A.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to the core values of the university, including community service.
  • Submit the scholarship application by Sept. 27, 2024 at 5:00 pm EST. The online scholarship application can be accessed by clicking on the scholarship name below.

JJ Prendamano Annual Scholarship Awarded to a student who:

  • Class standing: Undergraduate (sophmore, junior or senior), or graduate student.
  • Preference given to students who are majoring in business, marketing, or finance.
  • Must have completed or be currently enrolled in BFR 2123 Principles of Franchising.

ABOUT THE JJ PRENDAMANO ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP FUND 

JJ Prendamano was the General Manager at United Franchise Group for more than 25 years. He had a tremendous impact on UFG, eventually the Founding of the Titus Center for Franchising. He founded the UFG mentor program and was a frequent guest speaker at PBA. Through this scholarship fund, JJ and the Titus Family are giving back to Palm Beach Atlantic University and the Franchising community by encouraging students to never stop learning.

Seiber Family Endowed Scholarship Awarded to a student who:

  • Class standing: Undergraduate (junior or senior), or graduate student.
  • Preference given to students who are majoring in business, marketing, or finance.
  • Must have completed or be currently enrolled in BFR 2123 Principles of Franchising.

ABOUT THE SEIBER FAMILY ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP

Geoff and Sherri Seiber, founders of Franfund established this scholarship to “help students achieve dreams they might otherwise think are impossible.”

Through this scholarship fund, the Seiber family is giving back to the franchise community in a meaningful way by encouraging students to pursue a career in franchising.

ABOUT THE DON DWYER, SR. MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP FUND

IIn tribute to a legendary franchise entrepreneur, founder of the Dwyer group in Waco, Texas.

Dedicated to fostering the American dream worldwide and creating opportunities for families to enrich their lives.

Don Dwyer, founder of The Dwyer Group (now known as Neighborly), used to tell his associates, “I don’t see you for what you are. I see you for what you could be.” Don saw himself as one of franchising’s most successful practitioners and his election to the Board of Directors of the International Franchise Association, as well as numerous awards and media exposure, confirmed his vision. He helped thousands of individuals worldwide see themselves for what they could be. His family has established a scholarship in his name for students of the Titus Center.

ABOUT THE CHICK-FIL-A WEST PALM BEACH ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP

Rob Morris, franchisee of Chick-fil-A in West Palm Beach, Florida, established this scholarship to provide ongoing financial assistance to students of Palm Beach Atlantic University’s Titus Center for Franchising. Rob employs PBA students as Chick-fil-A interns, and he has helped many graduates become Chick-fil-A franchisees. He values franchising as a career and believes in supporting franchise education.

Kobel Family Annual Scholarship Awarded to a student who:

  • Class standing: Undergraduate (sophmore, junior or senior), or graduate student.
  • Preference given to students who are majoring in business, marketing, or finance.
  • Must have completed or be currently enrolled in BFR 2123 Principles of Franchising.

ABOUT THE KOBEL FAMILY ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP

The Kobel family wishes to empower the next generation of young leaders through this scholarship. The goal is to enable our youth to learn, forge, and abide with Jesus and to change the world.

Morrow Hill Annual Scholarship is awarded to a student who:

  • Completed or is currently enrolled in Principles of Franchising.
  • Demonstrates interest in commercial real estate.

The Titus Center Birdie Fund Annual Scholarship is made possible by the generous contributions of Titus Center Advisory Board members and guests, who participate in a semiannual golf tournament to raise funds for this scholarship. 2024 Scholarship Dedication

The 2024 Titus Center Birdie Fund Scholarship is awarded in honor of the late John Kanski. John was a beloved member of the franchise community, known for his dedication and contributions as the franchisor of Salty Dawg and a franchisee of Paul Mitchell Beauty Schools. An avid golfer, John’s passion for the sport and the franchising sector made him a cherished figure among his peers. This scholarship honors his legacy and his impact in the franchise community.
